Our Staff

An organization of around 100 employees, DRE is self-contained with sales specialists, an expert biomedical department, an in-house paint department and proficient shipping department. Our bio-medical staff have been trained and carefully chosen for their expertise and attention to detail.

DRE's Veterinary staff include specialists in the Veterinary, Research, and Animal Health fields with years of practical experience in the field. Whether in the planning stages, in need of new equipment, or looking for previously owned items our specialist can help meet your needs.

Nathan Claypool

Veterinary Division Director

Nathan Claypool has been with DRE Veterinary since January 2006. He is a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a degree in sales marketing and communications. He enjoys golf, fishing and the outdoors with his two dogs.

Tyler Kempf

Veterinary Account Executive

Tyler Kempf has been with DRE Veterinary since February 2007 and is involved with both Marketing and Sales. He is a graduate of The University of Kentucky, B.B.A, Marketing. During his spare time he enjoys playing sand volleyball, working out, and watching / attending sporting events. His favorite dog is a Golden Retriever.

Veterinary Account Executive

Erin has been with DRE since 2009. She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Spanish and a minor in Psychology, and is bilingual (Spanish and English). When she is not working Erin enjoys reading, working out, and spending time with her friends and family. Erin's favorite animal is a turtle.

Veterinary Account Executive

Ginny joined DRE in 2011. She is a graduate of the University of Louisville with a Bachelors in Psychology. She loves any outdoor activity, playing tennis, cooking and home DIY projects. She has three true loves - her husband and her two dogs: Guinness (a Great Dane) and Stella (a Boxer mix).

Ashley Hayes

Veterinary Administration

Ashley has been with DRE since 2006. She received a Bachelor of Independent Studies from Murray State University and obtained her teaching certificate from IU Southeast. Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband and their english bulldog, Oliver. She also has a small jewelry business, RedPoppy Jewelry, and she loves the outdoors especially whitewater rafting.

Becki Hyde

Marketing Specialist

Becki joined DRE in 2011. She graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Art & Design. Becki has four cats - Yaoxa, Emory, and a sister and brother duo named Master & Blaster. In her free time Becki enjoys riding her moped, reading, and creating recycled art.

Biomedical Field Services Manager

Matt leads our biomedical field services team and has more than a decade of experience as a biomedical engineer for DRE and for Louisville’s Jewish Hospital. He and his team have years of experience with anethesia machines, monitors, ventilators, tables, lights, electrosurgical units, defibrillators, and much more. With years of specific veterinary experience, he is able to understand the different challenges that a veterinary specific environment can pose.
